Holbert and Associates Architects

This is a single family residence facing the lake in Wilmette, Illinois. The house incorporates salvaged material ranging from cypress from pickle barrels (siding), recycled gym flooring (basement), walnut from barns (cabinetry), to maple from a demolished school (flooring and stairs). The scale of the front elevation is consistent with the neighborhood while at the same time opening-up the house to the beautiful views.
